GRAVEHILL Signs With IBEX MOON RECORDS

January 5, 2010

California-based death metallers GRAVEHILL have inked a deal with Ibex Moon Records. The band will enter Trench Studios in Santa Ana later this year with engineer John Haddad to begin recording its sophomore album, "Pravus Tyrannis!", for a summer release. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Unholy Executioner", "Suffer No Man to Live", "When All Roads Lead To Hell", "Devil Worshipper" and "War Prayers". The group hopes to commission Kris Verwimp to handle all artwork for the album but sadly may have to settle on a secondary choice.

In other news, the 12-inch vinyl release of GRAVEHILL's debut album, "Rites Of The Pentagram", is tentatively due in February/March via Ibex Moon. The LP will contain special packaging strictly for the die-hard collector. Also planned is a CD reissue of the same album, featuring the "Metal Of Death / Advocation Of Murder & Suicide" EP, complete with new packaging. A spring release via Ibex Moon is expected.

GRAVEHILL and CARDIAC ARREST are featured on the first installment of Relapse Records' "Death Metal EP Series", featuring one band per side. Due in early 2010, this exclusive release contains the GRAVEHILL song "Of Wolves And Wickedness", recorded during the "Metal Of Death / Advocation Of Murder & Suicide" EP session.
